Ratings Forming Part of Engineering Watch
Course Description
This Ratings Forming Part of a Watch in a Manned Engine-room or designated to perform duties in a Periodically Unmanned Engine-room course covers the mandatory competences and the required knowledge, understanding and proficiencies prescribed in Section A-III/4, Table A-III/4 of the STCW Code. This course requires a total of forty (40) instructional hours to cover the topics.
This course is open to all trainees who intend to be certificated as Ratings Forming Part of a Watch in Manned Engine-room or designated to perform duties in a Periodically Unmanned Engine-room.
They must be medically fit to enable them to participate in all aspects of the training particularly the practical exercises (Medical Certificate- PEME format).
