This is a 2-daycourse composed of lectures, simulation and video presentations dealing with the safety precautions and guidelines while navigation in the Arctic Region. Ship handling in ice navigation, authorities and services to be informed in case of emergencies, characteristics of the ice and other information that affects the maneuverability of a vessel are some of the topics to be discussed. This course is open to management level deck and engine officers.
