This 2-daycourse provides simulator training on the steering competency requirements of ratings forming part of a navigational watch. The coverage of Helm orders, the use of magnetic and gyro compasses, and ship course changing comply with the mandatory minimum training required by Regulation 11/4 of STCW 1978, as amended in 1995, for the function “Navigation at the Support Level”.
