This5-day course covers basic and advanced principles of trim and stability. It includes the key topics in IMO Model 1.17, necessary actions to be taken in the event of partial loss of intact buoyancy and fundamentals of watertight integrity. The course meets the requirements set forth in STCW ‘95’ Regulations 11/1 and 11/2 under the function “Controlling the Operation of the Ship and Care of Persons Onboard at the Operational and Management Levels”, respectively. The course is delivered through theoretical instructions, computations and computer-based training.
