This 3-day course satisfies the provision of the STCW Code as amended, Section B-VI/ I-recommending that administrators of shipping companies should ensure that seafarers have an ability to use at least an elementary English Vocabulary with an emphasis on nautical terms and situations. With this in mind, different activities (drills, games, role-play, etc.) aimed at developing the speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar skills of the participants are provided. Emphasis is on the use of standard marine communication phrases in their day-to-day activities onboard.
