Course Description
The one-day (8-hour) course will address proactive measures on how seafarers can attain and maintain wellbeing during the duration of their voyage. It will also guide the participants to be resilient to stress and negative emotions they may encounter The course is anchored on the framework of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Seligman’s PERMA model of wellbeing and happiness. The theories are contextualized to fit the issues commonly faced by seafarers such as monotony, isolation, fatigue, and cultural differences.
This course is open to all seafarers at all ranks.
