PHILCAMSAT, through its Vice President, Capt. Pol Winston Haboc expressed its strong support for a new nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing the practical skills and performance standards of Filipino seafarers. The campaign, led by Navguide Solutions in partnership with the United Filipino Seafarers (UFS), introduced Guide2Inspections, described as “a pocket mentor for every seafarer,” to the Philippine maritime community.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was formally signed in Manila by Ms. Judy Domingo, President of UFS, and Capt. Debashis Basu, Director of Navguide Solutions. The event, witnessed and supported by Capt. Haboc and PHILCAMSAT Business Development Manager Rheena Sollorin, reflects a shared commitment among maritime stakeholders to strengthen seafarer competence and continuous learning.

The partnership marks a significant milestone for the participating organizations as it represents the launch of a nationwide campaign dedicated to upskilling Filipino seafarers. Through initiatives such as this, PHILCAMSAT continues to support programs that empower maritime professionals with practical knowledge and industry-relevant tools, helping raise the standards of performance and operational excellence across the seafaring community.
